I only posted one comment, and I've never created any post, although I 've looked at the blog very usual. Cause I don't have free time, and I am the one who never talk when I am not sure that everyone want to hear.
I read all short posts. Long posts make me tired and I decide not to read ;P

I am not an active blogger. I created only 1 post and some comments. I read some posts and comments and looked at the blog only 3 times. Sorry, it is because I was busy with my work.

Anyway, I like the blog project because it can help us to practice English reading and writing at home when we have free time.

What a happiest day in my life !!!

Our HoChiMinh city will celebrate SOM II (Senior Official Meeting 2) of APEC in June and they need volunteers to help them. Therefore, they held an interview to recruit volunteers who must not only be dynamic but also have good English and knowledge about APEC. In my opinion, it's a good chance for me to contact many famous people and practise my English skill, so I apply for this job.
In the first interview, every thing seemed to be not too difficult to me. Two examiners asked me many questions such as which position I choose, what I know about my position and what difficulties I think I have in my job, and some knowlegde about APEC. After that, they chose me to take part in the second round for an important position which was described as a pioneer who would accompany with the Foreign Minister. In this round, the two examiners asked two candidates to take a conversation, one played the part of Foreign Minister and one played the part of volunteer. It was a tense discussion to both of us because we haven’t been a Minister or a volunteer yet, and what I tried to do is to express myself as much as possible. After the second round, I felt so sad just because I thought I didn’t do as well as my partner.
Once I accessed to the Internet to check email, what I was surprised the best is an email from the organisation. How lucky I was, I was chosen to be a volunteer of the organisation, especially I would take charge as a liaison officer, a position I haven’t dreamed about. It was the happiest day in my life. Thanks to the God and thanks my teacher Anton, who gave me useful advice.

My business trip problem

I will have a business trip to the factory located in the countryside of China, unpopular speaking English area. As I know that most of people, who live there, do not know how to speak English. My problem is that how can I travel around the countryside alone without any trouble.

Hanoi and Halong Bay

Hello! I'm back!
I had a lovely holiday in Hanoi and Halong Bay. I thought Hanoi was a pretty city; I loved the lake and the small streets and the secondhand bookshops, and the cool - not hot! - temperatures meant I was able to walk around the city and explore it more thoroughly than I have been able to explore HCMC.
On May 1st we ventured to the outskirts of the city to have a look at Ho Chi Minh himself: we queued for about half an hour before being told that we had to surrender water bottles and cameras and mobile phones (and an electronic dictionary!). We left the water - they said we could collect it later, but all the water bottles looked the same and they were all thrown onto a shelf together - but decided not to leave our electronic valuables. We hid them in our bags and pockets. Then we queued for another thirty minutes. The security guards patrolled, making sure the queue was orderly, but as soon as they looked away, people would push in front of us, laughing... Finally, just before we entered the mausoleum, a guard called me aside and discovered my mobile phone and wouldn't let me enter. My friends, with digital cameras, dictionaries and phones, just carried on up the stairs and saw the legendary figure...
Interestingly, the taxi from the hotel to the mausoleum cost about 9ooo for a 2 km trip, or thereabouts, whereas the so-called 'METER TAXI' we took back cost about 40000 for a 6 km trip! And it took exactly the same route! Don't trust Meter Taxis!!

We took a two day trip to Halong Bay and slept on the boat. The tour was very well organised, the guide was funny and spoke good English, the cooks cooked vegetarian Vietnamese food on demand and we had absolutely nothing to do except sit and relax in the calm and atmospheric wilderness.

I have just finished creating new user. Few weeks ago I was busy because of my mid-term tests in my university .My study program ( material engineering ) requires me work hard and it provides me technological innovation and promotion with fundamental knowledge in materials science and technology . I'll show it in details next time .

WHERE WE WILL TRAVELL ON HOLIDAYS ?

Holidays are coming, where should we go?
In this topic, I won't mention to people who booked early for the long travell. I only introduce some places where we can visit on the holidays for a day .
First of all, you can go to the entertaining places in this city, such as : Đam Sen(in district 11), Suoi Tien (in Thu Duc district), Ky Hoa Lake (in district 10), .... At these places, you can play risk or gentle games. There are also restaurants with a lot of good food here. It's convenient to relax because of the nice services, that also means the price is not cheap and people usually spend a lot of money when they come there.
Secondly, we can open a short tour with a small group to travell somewhere like : Can Gio seaside, Bo Cap Vang, Binh Duong province, Vung Tau, Bien Hoa, .... When you travell you can see beautifull landscapes and sceneries, and can study historical stories .
For example, if I plan a tour, I will travell to Da Han Water Fall in the morning, it's not far from SaiGon, here I can swim, enjoy the fresh air because this place is still natural. In the afternoon, I will come to Bien Hoa city to have lunch. The reason why I choose Bien Hoa because the food is good and cheap. On the other hand, I can eat some special food in Bien Hoa. After for a while, I'll visit to Nguyen Huu Canh temple - Nguyen Huu Canh was the commander in Nguyen Kingdom, and the port where Nguyen Huu Canh commander 's boats came first, Bien Hoa Temple of Literature, Cu Lao Pho with old houses and sceneries, ... I can have a drink in a coffee shop near the Dong Nai river. This is romantic, and pleasant. If I have enough free time, I can eat "bun thit nuong" which is the traditional and special food in Thu Duc market, in the evening. In my opinion, I haven't found a restaurant in Saigon that is better than it. After that, I travell to Chau Thoi pagoda on Chau Thoi mountain. When I am on the top of this, I can see a large city view, and can see the stars on the sky, breath the fresh air and relax with the quiet atmosphere. Finally, I come home for a rest.
Those are some my introductions, I hope they will help you be pleasure on holidays if you don't know where you should travel.

A DANGER THAT I HAD

As you may know, I am a student, but I have taken a part time job in an advertising company as an IT technician. This time happened when I was the second year student in university.
On that day, in the morning, I and my manager tested all the computers at the company, they did well. After that we carried out them to Thu Duc dormitory. Unfortunately, the computers didn't do as well as before. My manager and I had to fix them till night. We worried about them a lot because tomorrow, the event would be opened. We only had several hours to prepare for the event.
The time was 1 a.m, but we didn't still fix them correctly. My manager decided to get them back the company to change another one. He and I carried the PC on his motobike when it was 1.30 am. Along the streets were only trees, nobody or some traffic there. I didn't know how to manage if our motobike had been wrong. The way that was from the dormitory to the highway was dangerous. We had heard a lot crimes had been happenning on this way, but we had to go.
When we left the gate of dormitory, the streets were quite dark. Suddently, there were four people (three boys and one girl) caught us. My manager rode fast, they still followed us as fast as we did like a race was happening. Finally, we came to the highway safely, and those motobikes ran away us. Up to now, I have been wondering that were they robbers or not?
Because of worrying robbers again, my manager rent a taxi followed us with its intensive lights when we cameback the dormitory around 3 am . We replaced the old PC by a new one and everything was good.
That was my dangerous and good impression.

When I was an 8 years old child, I got a broken hand accident in the primary school. In the break time, our friends came together and shared into 4 groups to play speed race contest for free eating breakfast reward. Unfortunately, when I was running forward the finished line, I fell on the road because of an unfriendly rock. I stood up with injured and painful hand, but I didn’t cry. Then, I was sent to hospital for a broken hand medical treatment. I’d been there for a half day and gone home with a new plaster cast hand.

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Thank you very much indeed for all your 'posts'. I have read and commented on all posts from this week, I think (if I haven't, sorry, blog me about it!).

We have a holiday fast approaching, a whole week beginning next weekend, so I thought it might be nice if we could share our holiday plans and then, later, post our holiday experiences (and photos!).

Introductions Hello everybody ! My name is Thao Nguyen and I'm 20 years old. Now I am a sophomore of Faculty of International Relations at the University of Social Sciences and Humanity. I live in district 7 which has many export processing zones and villas, especially PhuMyHung villadom. I like walking, swimming, travelling and reading books, especially fairy tales, funny stories, short stories and fiction. I also enjoy listening to music and going to school. Maybe you're surprised but going to school and getting more knowlege are really my happiness, although somtimes they make me tired. I've gone to Malaysia and Singapore. On the whole, both of them are clean and modern, and I’m completely attracted by not only Muslim women’s dress but also their beauty, especially their eye-beam. Although I love both these countries very much, I always wish to travel Europe and America from end to end. Hi guys !
Nice to meet you again, I just wan to share one of the danger I've experienced.
That happened 3 or 4 months ago when I visited my friend in his room on the 9th stage in his university's campus . At that time we were talking and suddently, the bed shaked . That was just a slight earthquake but that was strange in Vietnam so everybody was so scared.They tried to run out of the building while the corridor was narrow so my friend and I decided that we stayed inside the room instead of running .You know, at that time we thought that we would have died because of the people , not the earthquake

The disaster most frighten me
When I was in the 3rd grade, Mt. Asama which is still an active volcano around my home town erupted worse. The day when it did the worst, I certainly learned in my classroom. A lot of eruptions hit the window of the classroom after the huge sound by erupting, hence obviously a couple of window were broken. All the classmate and teacher were surprised to quit to learn because the eruptions were slightly bigger than our thumb's and the sound was louder than the school bell although the volcano is about 50 km far from our town. During those year Mt. Asama did not remain dormant.

I am Nga, one of the oldest students in our English class. Since I am old, I usually do everything slowly. Logging in and posting these introduction paragraphs today are clear examples for my slowlyness. :-)

As you all may know, I am a lecturer of the Hochiminh City University of Law. I love my job. However, sometimes I feel tired because I don't have enough time to complete everything I want to do and have to do. My hobbies are listening to music, reading and dancing.

Oh, now I have some other things to do, so I have to log out. Next time I will try to write more. The last thing I'd like to say now is that it is my pleasure to be in the same class with all of you. Lessons are funny, useful and efficient. Do you think so?

Thanks for letter; I was so sorry hear your news; it was quite a shock for you, because it’s very hard to find a new job at your age. It sounds like a really difficult situation; however, you should look for a job which requires experience employees.

By the way, try not to worry about your family with 2 teenager children; your husband will support family fees.

I know you must be really worried about finances, your husband have to work harder than before, but I think he’ll be willing to do that because he know your situation.

Is there anything at all I can do? I know some friends working in HR field, I will ask them to give you a hand if that would help. Do keep in touch and give me a ring if you want to talk it over.

I would like to thank everyone for their posts and comments. I think this blog is really coming along nicely and people are responding to each other very positively. What do you think?

You may have noticed that I have written a few comments about the accuracy of the homework postings but commented only on the content of all other postings. Is this helpful? My rationale is that I would like to encourage people to write and I don't want people to be anxious about making mistakes.

There seem to be three possible ways to deal with corrections:

we all comment on other people's posts, both in terms of content and accuracy of language
we all comment on other people's posts in terms of content, but we also have regular class correction sessions using work published on the blog
we all comment on the content of other people's posts; in terms of homework, you post your homework and submit a hard copy (on paper) to me. I correct the hard copy and then you can, if you wish, return to your homework on the blog and redraft it

I would be very interested to hear what you have to say about this. Should this blog be about writing freely or writing accurately, or both? I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. Remember, you can always return to an earlier post and edit (or delete!) what you have written (only your own posts of course!).

i've just received your letter and I get shock whet I read it. This is such a difficult situation for you huh? I know your feelings now 'cuz I was in your case 2 years ago.Don't be so worried about it. You just ignore him and think that he worths nothing , then you will feel better. If your think that forgeting him is difficult so why don't you try to change the class.

Hello and welcome to your class blog! My name is Anton and I will be your teacher for this course.

I come from Cambridgeshire originally, although I haven’t lived there for many years. I’ve been teaching English since 2000, in Hungary, the Czech Republic and in Malaysia. I completed the CELTA teaching qualification in 2000 and the DELTA teaching qualification in 2003.

I moved to Vietnam in February 2006 and began working for the British Council as a teacher in Ho Chi Minh City.

I enjoy reading novels and poetry, walking, watching films and going out to restaurants.

I also enjoy teaching and I am especially interested in using Information and Communication Technology in class. This term I would like to use a Class Blog to provide extra reading and writing practice. I hope you will all enjoy reading and writing on this blog.

The first assignment: write a paragraph or two about yourself, and give it the title 'Introductions'. Once you have posted your own introduction, read the other introductions on the blog and leave each person a 'comment' to let them know you have read their work.
